Our Story

Who We Are

We are a family-owned farm, event venue, and mini horse rescue on Waxhaw-Marvin Rd in Waxhaw, NC. We are easily accessible from Charlotte and the surrounding areas, and we are set on acres of rolling pastures.

With our eclectic programme, we strive to develop caring, competent, and confident riders by providing a well-rounded curriculum that includes ring and trail riding, ground work, drill teams, games, jumping, basic dressage, vaulting, and horse care. We strive to create a safe environment with a certified staff and well-trained horses. There are currently no public trail rides available.

Events and Parties

Marvin Farms for Horses Riding one of our friendly horses will allow you to spend quality time with your buddies. Family-generated decorations and treats are welcome.

welcome beginners to advanced riders looking to broaden their equestrian experiences.

Teenagers and older students may receive training in teaching techniques and become assistant professors.

While we don’t board and all of our horses are ours, we can accommodate overnight guests. Although horse ownership is not a requirement for riders, if they do, we may assist them in training both the horse and the rider. Additionally, we offer half chaps, boots, and helmets for students to borrow until they are totally committed to the sport and wish to purchase their own.

Our Trainer - Carol Land

Carol Land has been teaching riding since 1968 and is the head instructor/trainer. For over 20 years, she was a CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) Clinic Instructor, evaluating and rating riding instructors. Carol grew up on a horse farm in upstate New York and attended Houghton College’s equestrian programme before relocating to Charlotte. For over 55 years, horses have been a part of her life.
